Hi im Jim Cattey and am the newest member of Steel Cross. I hade the pleasure of producing a Praise God Fest this past summer where I was approached by Carl D. Therriault, (Singer Song Writer) who had heard me play several weeks before, I was very flattered when he complemented on my musical gifts and invited me to a rehearsal,,, well the rest is history ! Here I will share a little about my life, my walk, and music history.

My Hobbies and Ministries
The people that know of me also know that Mountain Lake Bible Camp is a big part of not only my life but the entire family. I am currently the alternate director and food service director as my experience of 25 years. I live at the camp during the summer season for about 8 weeks. My youngest son Michael is attending camp also. Nick my oldest 16 was also a camper and now holds a job but still comes down to the camp to volunteer in various positions. My wife Betsy also has a ministry position in registration and other business aries.
Hunting & Fishing
I also spend allot of time at the camp year round to to work on the upcoming year. We also do retreats year round and of coarse have a winter camp reunion. The Lord and Al Tthyberg has kept this camp going for sixty years now and I am proud to be a part of it. When I am not working I love to hunt, fish and shoot at the beautiful 400 acers !!
Music Ministry
My music ministry has just started. After giving up music about 15 years ago I recently got back into it only 3 short years ago. I was saved only about 8 years ago and at the beginning of my walk with the Lord Jesus Christ I would sit in our church and drift into a song type of meditation and think. I would think about and hear awesome kicken Christ centered music. I discussed this with my wife and we decided to get back into music. I've been sequencing and writing songs for the last 3 years and just bursting to share it all, I tell you it took allot of patience to sit on this for so long, and finally the Lord drove me to various ministries as a vessel that led me to Steel Cross. I am embarrassed to tell you that this ministry is giving me so much joy I feel guilty. Thank you Lord for the gifts you have given me and the reason to recognize and utilize them. I also know that Carl will stand by me when I say that our wives an children are just as critical in this music Ministry for supporting us fully in this Christ centered Christian music journey that has only begun at the age of 46.
